Join Bob Chandler and Susan Brown hunting for fossils in two different quarries just north of Bridport in Dorset.  We will be visiting Horn Park Quarry, near Beamster and Coombe Quarry, Mapperton to look for a range of Jurassic fossils.  Bob Chandler is an expert on the geology of this area of Dorset where the rocks cover some 180 million years of Earth’s history and are unique in the world in that they straddle 3 geological periods – the Jurassic, Cretaceous and Tertiary.  This trip will be focusing on finding Jurassic fossils and Susan Brown will be there to help you identify your finds.
