Fossil Hunting trip to Whitman’s Hill Quarry near Great Malvern, Worcestershire

24 September from 10.15am – 2.00pm

 

Whitman’s Hill Quarry is a large disused quarry with the geology dating back to the Silurian period, approximately 428 million years ago.  Susan Brown, Mark Baggott and Mark O’Dell are leading this trip to the quarry where there are interesting rock formations and an abundance of fossils – mainly corals, brachiopods, trilobites, crinoids, algae and bryozoans.  Age 7+

Cost of the fieldtrip is £2.50 per person and a £2.00 parking fee payable to Mark on the day.
