Come along to a fabulous day at the Skipsea Withlow SSSI site exploring the Quaternary stratigraphy and the erosion of the Holderness coast.  Together with experts, you’ll be able to try and work out the rate of erosion. You’ll also get to learn about erratics and have lunch classifying erratics into three rock groups.  Then it’s off to examine cliff sections and work out what happened there about 6000 years ago.

A great day of geological exploration – and you can treat yourself to an ice cream at Mr Moo’s at the end of the day!

You must be a Rockwatch member to go and the booking fee for this fieldtrip is £2.50 per individual.  All children attending and their accompanying adults must book places.
