FOG Poster 2025It’s back! Rockwatch is thrilled to be part of the Geologists’ Association Festival of Geology 2025 – a whole weekend of free fun for children, families and anyone curious about our amazing planet.

📅 When: Saturday 1st – Sunday 2nd November 2025
📍 Where: The Geological Society, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London

On Saturday 1st November, families can explore the festival hub at Burlington House. There will be exciting talks, including The Secret Lives of Dinosaurs by Dean Lomax & Bob Nicholls, as well as The Early Evolution of Animal Life by Frankie Dunn and How to Build a Jurassic Coastline by Saskia Elliott.

Children and young people (and adults!) can get stuck into hands-on activities, workshops, discover fossils and minerals, and chat to experts. You’ll even be able to see the Geological Society’s historic apartments and browse stalls with fossils, minerals, and geology books for sale.

On Sunday 2nd November, families can join guided geological walks around London. Highlights include a Stones of Canary Wharf walk, a Geotrail in Trent Country Park, and a visit to the Evolution Garden at the Natural History Museum.

The Festival is completely free, and Burlington House is just a short stroll from Green Park Underground Station (where the Royal Academy is).

Bring your curiosity, your family, and your friends – and join Rockwatch and the Geologists’ Association for an unforgettable weekend discovering the story of our Earth!
