Earlybird Warning

Diaries can get booked up quickly so here are some dates you may want to add now. Some events have a limited number of spaces so it’s a good idea to book early to avoid disappointment.

We have other trips planned but, so far, don’t have dates confirmed.  They are:

JUNE: Kings Dyke Nature Reserve near Peterborough

This is in the Oxford Clay sediments, deposited some 140 million years ago in the Jurassic, so lots of exciting fossils.

JULY:  Yorkshire Jurassic Coast trip to Whitby.

We are also hoping to have a guided tour of the T. rex exhibition at Wollaton Hall Museum in Nottingham with one of our former members, Dr. Adam Stuart Smith.  Adam was a Rockwatcher for many years and is now a curator at Wollaton. He contributes to the Rockwatch magazine, and has helped at museum events and led a visit to Wollaton some years ago to the Chinese Dinosaur exhibition he curated.
