Whitmans Hill Quarry

Join us for a great fieldtrip hunting for fossils in a large disused quarry near Great Malvern.  It will be a great day out in Whitman’s Hill Quarry with a fieldtrip led by Mark Baggott and Mark O’Dell.  They are very familiar with the quarry and its rock formations and with the geology which dates back to the Silurian period, approximately 428 million years ago.  There is an abundance of fossils – mainly corals, brachiopods, trilobites, crinoids, algae and bryozoans.  Susan Brown also be there to help you identify your finds.  A fabulous day fossiling!

This trip is for Age 7 + and numbers are strictly limited.

The registration fee is £2.50 per person but there will also be an additional £2.50 parking fee to pay to Mark on the day.
