Join Rockwatch for a summer adventure tracing the footsteps of dinosaurs along the Kent coast.
This hands-on fieldtrip combines real dinosaur footprint hunting at Copt Point with a curator-led museum visit, offering a rare chance to explore Folkestone’s geological heritage both outdoors and indoors.
Led by footprint discoverer Steve Friedrich, you’ll learn how these remarkable traces were found, what they tell us about dinosaur behaviour, and how geology preserves moments from deep time. After lunch, we’ll enjoy a guided tour of Folkestone Museum with curator Corie Clover, including access to parts of the collection rarely seen by visitors.
