A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this year’s Rock & Fossil Day at Discover Bucks Museum over the May Bank Holiday weekend!
It was wonderful to see so many enthusiastic Rockwatchers, families and budding geologists getting involved in the day’s activities. From fossil rubbing and fossil making to dinosaur crafts, specimen handling and fossil digging, the museum was buzzing with curiosity, creativity and excitement throughout the afternoon.
We loved meeting so many visitors who brought along their own geological finds for identification — and it was fantastic to see children and adults alike sharing their discoveries and asking brilliant questions about rocks, fossils and Earth history.
A special thank you goes to the amazing team at Discover Bucks Museum and our friends from the Bucks Geology Group for their endless enthusiasm, knowledge and support in helping make the event such a success. Events like this simply wouldn’t happen without the energy and dedication of so many passionate volunteers and organisers.
Most of all, thank you to everyone who came along to say hello, join in the activities and celebrate geology with us. We hope you had as much fun as we did — and we look forward to seeing many of you again at future Rockwatch events and field trips!
