Fun amongst the rocks in Lincolnshire on Sunday 4 June

Be a geo-detective for the day!

Join Rockwatch on a fieldtrip to the ‘Isle of Axholme’ in North Lincolnshire where local expert, Paul Hildreth, will be on hand to help with your ‘detective’work!  He’ll help you find clues, collect evidence and then ‘solve the mystery’ of what exactly you’re finding beneath your feet.

Two sites to visit – a quarry and a railway cutting.

We’ll be looking at Triassic rocks and at some marvelous minerals, ripple marks, rain prints (very unusual) and superb pseudomorphs of salt crystals.

A great day out for all the family – but sadly, only if you are over 7!
