The UK's Nationwide Geology Club for Children

Fossil hunting and geology on the Dorset Coast

Come along to our annual residential fieldtrip on the wonderful coast of Dorset and Devon.  We will be spending five days exploring the exceptional geology of the area, hunting for fossils and walking in the steps of famous geologists from long ago!  We’ll be staying at the Leeson House Field Studies Centre near Swanage in Dorset.
Rockwatchers will be joined by local experts who will take them on expeditions to explore the Jurassic Coast and nearby quarries. We’ll be going to places like Chesil Beach and the Isle of Purbeck to look at the geology, check for dinosaur footprints in Portland and hunt for fossils in the Kimmeridge Clay – all unforgettable experiences.

Contact Geraldine at hello@rockwatch.org.uk to get a booking form and find out prices.

A fabulous fieldtrip!
