Rockwatch is excited to be returning to one of the highlights of the geological calendar — the Lyme Regis Fossil Festival!

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Jurassic Coast, this fantastic free festival celebrates the wonders of fossils, geology and deep time in one of the most important fossil-hunting locations in the world.

A place shaped by history

Lyme Regis is famously associated with pioneering fossil hunter Mary Anning, whose discoveries changed our understanding of prehistoric life. Today, the area remains a treasure trove for fossil enthusiasts of all ages.

The festival is packed with activities for curious minds and budding geologists, including:
