Saturday 5 November:  Festival of Geology at UCL Gower Street, London WC1E 6BT

Opens at 10.30 and finishes at 4.30

A great geological day out for all the family to enjoy.  There is a Discovery Tent, just as you go through the gates of University College London, full of activities for children – Rockwatch with fossils, racing trilobites, Jurassic dioramas and other groups with many more things to do like sifting sand for sharks’ teeth.  Bring your mystery rocks to be identified.  Then more with adults in mind, in the main building there are displays of minerals and fossils from all over the country, jewellery, books, maps and stone craft.  And during the course of the day there are four talks that you can attend  as well as a geological walk round the campus.     http://www.geologistsassociation.org.uk/festival.html

Free event.
