Join us on our Rockwatch field trip on Wednesday 14 August for a day in the Mendips Exploring Carboniferous Limestone!

Join us for an exciting adventure into the depths of Carboniferous Somerset as we explore the majestic Mendip Hills! Our day begins at the purpose-built Somerset Earth Science Centre, nestled in the heart of the stunning Mendip landscape.
Activities include:
- Investigating the fascinating Carboniferous geology of the area and it’s unique history of mining.
- Rockwatchers will enjoy an exclusive insight into the fabulous collection of fossils and minerals at the Centre.
- Fossil hunting at the renowned Writhlington fossil site – a specially preserved area perfect for budding paleontologists.
Important Details:
Age Limit: Suitable for over 7s.
Price: £5 per family.
Booking Policy: We regret that refunds cannot be provided for last-minute bookings, adhering to the Earth Science Centre’s policy.
