Saturday 16 April, 10am Fast Castle

Explore the steep cliffs around Fast Castle, north of St Abbs Head. These are steeply tilted and folded rock layers, originally deposited as sand and mud on the floor of the Iapetus Ocean. The layers of greywacke sandstone and mudstone contain clues to the sea bed processes that formed them.

Day walk, 5 hours, £14/£12 concession. Walk details on the Geowalks website

Please bear in mind that these events have not been organized by Rockwatch and you need to get in touch with the group involved to find out more details and to book.
