Saturday 2 July, 10am Bathgate Hills
Stroll along the length of the hills from Bathgate to Linlithgow for a surprisingly rich mix of geology: lava flows, a geological wall, limestone packed with fossils, a touch of archaeology and a hint of silver! These hills are under-appreciated, and make for a varied walk with a range of geological stories. As we make our way from Bathgate to Linlithgow we’ll also get some fine views across Central Scotland and appreciate the different ways in which these rocks and the landscape have influenced people over thousands of years.
Day walk, 5 hours, £14/£12 concession.  Walk details on the Geowalks website.
Please bear in mind that these events have not been organized by Rockwatch and you need to get in touch with the group involved to find out more details and to book.
