A Rockwatch first!  We are having a fieldtrip on the Isle of Eigg, a small island off the west coast of Scotland.

Angus Miller, who is an expert on the geology of Scotland, will be leading the trip and showing Rockwatchers and their families around this Hebridean island.  There is an enchanting mix: beautiful scenery, a surprising variety of rocks and a friendly and innovative local community.  There are many geological riches to explore, including important fossil-rich sedimentary rocks.  You’ll be visiting the beautiful singing sands beach fringed by sandstone cliffs that are cut by basalt dykes and also the highest point of the island, the famous Sgurr.

You’ll be staying at the Glebe Barn Hostel and the trip will be catered.

If you would like to go on this fieldtrip email Rockwatch for more details and to book:  hello@rockwatch.org.uk
