Hastings Shipwreck MuseumJoin Rockwatch for a Beach Hunt and Fossil Presentation in the Shipwreck Museum

Saturday 14 May 11.00am – 3.00pm

Rockwatch is heading down to Hastings on the Sussex coast for a slide presentation on ‘Fossils and Dinosaurs of Hastings‘.   It will be at the Shipwreck Museum on a large screen, and will include an opportunity to see and handle dinosaur bones.

In the afternoon we’ll head off to Pett Level, a short drive away, for a fossil hunt along the beach.  We’ll be seeing the cliffs exposed in the Hastings beds and hunting for trace fossils – burrows or river channels – in the sandstone blocks on the beach.  We’ll also explore the beds of shells and hunt for fish and sharks teeth in the Cliff End bone bed.

Bookings

Children must be accompanied by an adult so please buy tickets for children and accompanying adult/s.

This event is fully booked.
