The Scottish Geology Festival 2022 will tell the stories of Scotland’s rocks and landscapes through a programme of activities from 1st September to 9th October.
Events will range from coastal walks and fossil hunting, to online and in-person talks. Visitors will explore extinct volcanoes in Edinburgh and the UNESCO Global Geopark in the North West Highlands. Visitors will encounter evidence of ancient tropical seas and corals reefs in Fife, and learn how the ice age helped shape Scotland’s incredible landforms.
